At The Joy Circle, we believe that everyone has the ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life. As social workers, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, and that therapy can be a powerful tool in achieving this balance.

Alara currently has availability for in person, video and telephone counselling. 

$180 per 50 minutes.

New graduate Hayley currently has availability for in-person, video and telephone counselling.

$80 per 50 minutes. 

Currently no Medicare rebate is available for these services. 

Alara has extensive experience working with children and families that are impacted by family separation, child protection matters and experiences of trauma. Family therapy services are flexible and offer the opportunity for variation of who is in attendance from the family on a case-by-case basis. This is negotiated and facilitated by Alara to ensure session are safe and appropriate for all involved. 

In terms of parenting support, Alara is also a certified Circle of Security facilitator and has the capacity to facilitate this for families as required. Further parenting support is also available as facilitated by Alara based upon what is necessary for each individual family. 

Alara has conducted informal mediation with separated parents to facilitate appropriate communication with minimal exposure to conflict for all family members. This service is also available as required; however, it is recommended that children are not in attendance. 

Family therapy services: $200 per hour.

Alara has extensive experience working with women through the perinatal and post-natal periods and walking beside them on their overall journey into motherhood. 

Alara has current availability for in-person, video and telephone counselling around the journey to motherhood. 

$180 per 50 minutes. 

Alara also understands that coming into the office leading up to and post birth can be challenging and therefore offers the option of home visits. 

$250 per hour within East Lake Macquarie and Newcastle regions. 

Medicare benefits are available for up to 3 services per patient with a GP referral for Non-Directive Pregnancy Support Counselling. 

Alara has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the social work field with over 10 years' experience in the sector and ready to share that with you. 

Alara also offers supervision around moving into private practice and the processes involved. 

Clinical Supervision $150 per hour. 

Social Work New Graduate Supervision $100 per hour.
